Going on my first hunt...

on the 29th of December on my 4yr old mare!
It's a children's meet (im 32!!!) Never been before and im taking my 4yr old Welsh D mare, she's been once before, she'll also be out on boxing day with my friend..

Hope i will fit in!
Im sure there'll be some adults going!?

Any advice!!?

will be adults there but beware! there will be a lot of little ponys and tiny kids out of control, and as you are on a 4 year old try to stay either at the very front or at the back, as all the kids rush at the fence all at once!

last year we were jumping a telegraph pole and i swear there was 9 of us jumping it at the same time!

Wrap up very warm. I went hunting on the 15th and had thermal leggings under my jodphurs, thick ski socks, a long sleeved top under my shirt and wooly gloves on.

Might be worth while taking a little snack in your jacket pocket for if there is a lot of hanging around. If your horse wears boots might be an idea to tape them on so they can't fall off and pull on over-reachs are always good.
