hi.... am going to look at a 3.5t horsebox tonight please. it is older, being an F reg. can you give me some advice as to what to look out for and what questions to ask?

I'd get it checked over by the AA or RAC if you like it- like a 5 stage vetting!! Ask if they mind you having it done.

Take it to a weighbridge and check it's unladen weight. Then deduct this from 3.5 tons giving you the maximum weight that you can carry in it.
Get the floor and ramp thoroughly checked out for rust or rot.

What is the unladen weight.
How many previous owners, and as much service history as possible.
F reg is pretty old for a 3.5t, I would definitiely get it inspected. You should get a horsebox specialist to do this as they need to check the body as well as the mechanical side.
