I'm going with some friends from a local yard in their lorry but I was just wondering what will I need and is their anything I will need to do as soon as get there?

When do I walk the XC course?
How do I know what dressage test we will be doing?
Will I have time to have a tack and clothes change (Bridles and boots) inbetween?

Hi,
You can usually walk the xc course the night before - (not always so don't quote me) It should say on your schedule - if not ring the organiser.
Ditto for dressage test, on schedule or ring organiser they can usually supply a copy of the test if you don't have one if you send an SAE. (Some may charge)
You should have at least half an hour between each phase to to sort yourself out - usually a lot longer if its an unaffiliated.

Most important thing to take is plenty of water for drinking and washing down.
Apart from your horse obv!

You would normally ring for times on thursday prior to your ODE so you can plan a little timetable for yourself. Leave yourself 5 minutes more for each task than you think you need - just in case.

Soon as you get there check your horse is ok offer water etc - then go to secretary and declare and get your number. Ask if there has been any changes to course - if you walked it night before (I would walk again if I had time before or between phases) Take your course plan with you and check off every fence.
Most of all enjoy yourself and good luck
