Locstock Huntsman on the 24th March.
Any tips? I guess its like looking at a horse for sale, but I don't want to look like a complete muppet.
What normally happens?
 
I am guessing he is a stallion?

Remember you are the client, you go, have a look at him at rest, if you want him brought out and trotted up then ask, if you want him jumped, you ask, etc. Ask to see him handled so you can see his temprement, ask to see piccies of offspring if possible, etc etc etc

How exciting. My friend is going to see a couple of youngsters there this weekend, by him.
I would ask to have a look at him standing up have a good critical look, people won't point out faults. Watch the way he is in the stable and how they handle him. see him trot & walk in hand - got to be a straight mover to go showing. I also like to have a good nosey at the other boys on site, helps get your eye in and reinforces what you like about your horse - or not.
Ask to see some youngsters and check their temperaments, also any pictures of him under saddle and of his off spring likewise. Any youngsters or pictues of youngsters from similar mares to Hattie.
Take some pictures of Hattie, Charles Upham will love her and be excited about the cross, would be a lovely horse.
Finally request that you can come and stay whilst she is there and then refuse to leave, dig your feet in and claim one of the rooms as your own....

Siennamum- Brilliant thank you. My boss said when she went down there to see Kuwait Beach, Charles grabbed Huntsman out of the field in a headcoller and trotted him up and down the lane!
She said the yard is really well set up with the stallions able to see each other and none are behind grills or bars. And that Charles always plays with them and cuddles them.
Do you think he will like Hattie? Wow that would be good.
