Going to strangle her....also...need help with food =P

In 3 days her ladyship has almost electrocuted herself chewing on the phone power cable (which was accidentally exposed by an inch for 5 minuets!) and chewed a pen which has resulted in her being covered in blue ink. She's doing her best to make me look irresponsible :(

I'm having a bit of trouble with her about food though. Being a Corgi she's a bit keen ;) Jack always have been but I've always just waited until he was sat and calm then fed him. I'm doing the same with her, it takes forever as she gets so manic, but she's getting the point. I can put my hands in her bowl and take her food away with no aggression but she gobbles and tries to climb in the bowl. I'm not exactly mobile properly yet so I can't bend down and I'm struggling to spend as long as I need to on the floor to wait for her to calm down.

I'm worried that if I leave it then it will become a problem, which I don't want. Is there anything I can do to help or am I going to have to rope someone else in to do the work? I'm in the process of teaching her to 'wait' which I think will help, it did with Jack anyway.
 
Put a big rock in her dish. And be patient with the 'wait' thing. I would actually turn my back on her until she calms down, do it for as long as you need to, don't feel sorry for her, she won't starve.
You could also put on an old bodywarmer or something and feed her by hand in small portions throughout the day, will also help with her training if she is working for her food.
 
I'm being as patient as my back allows with wait, it will be easier once I can bend/get up and down. Think its going to be a me supervising mum job and I'm not physically able atm. As long as I'm on the right track I don't mind the work :)
 
Make some sort of handle device? :p
That's why I suggested hand feeding, when she is calm you can chuck a few pieces on the floor from your pocket when she is being good.
