Gone barefoot, do you think her muscle has changed???

Further to my horse going barefoot do you think her muscle has changed from these pictures??? She seems to be experiencing some back pain and I've booked a saddler for Sat, I think she has changed shape but not sure if Im imaging it!!

No expert, just saying what I see, but to me her posture has changed - noticeable when you look at her front legs. In the last pic she is 'on' her legs, the first she leaning 'over' them. (there's probably a technical term for this but thats my interpretation )

Stood on her toes on her front feet in shoes.

Stood on her heels (where she should be) on her front feet barefoot.

I'm not surprised her back is a little sore, it's a big change in a short time. Give her time, it will all come out well with her using her heels so much better.

I'd agree that her back looks to have filled out a bit, which probably would make sense if she's loading and using the fuller range of her feet....

Thank you, when u see her everyday you don't notice the change, but in the last few weeks her fronts have really improved!! Ok I'll get everything checked again and give her time to get used to her new feet!!

Thinking of having mines shoes off as she's on box rest with a ligament injury. Got to speak to the vet/farrier if this could be the way to go or not

The technical term is "standing like a goat on a rock".

If you think about a goat standing on a small rock, they have all four feet very underneath them, rather than standing four square.
