I have rode on and off for most of my life but a little rusty on stablevmanzgement, horse care Tec. Can anyone recommend a good all round book on horse care etc? Thank you xx

Books by Susan McBane are always a good choice IMO.

I think the "100 ways to improve" series of books are usually cheap as chips on amazon 2nd hand. The series include "to improve your":
riding
schooling
horse's health
Horse's behaviour
Equine partnership

They are easy to read, lots of good photos and are fairly up to date with new (horse friendly) management.

I always think it is a good idea to subscribe to a good "horsey" magazine as well. Sometimes ploughing through a whole book can be a bit daunting and I tend to forget what I have read early on. Magazine articles come in bitesize pieces and are very varied so I tend to remember better.

Thank you - I do tend to buy the horse magazines as they come out - H&H, Horse and Rider and Your horse. But i do tend to just flick to the articles that interest me. I think I should make more of an effort to properly read them :)
