Can anyone reccomend a good allround supplement for my gelding?

He's 3 and was very underweight when I bought him a few months ago. He's now looking great and so his feeds are being reduced. He's currently on Selenavite E along with oil, garlic, biotin, and a calming herb. All of these are coming to the end of the tub and I'm reluctant to buy more as he's now in good shape (all were orig

Tens supplement is a good one, as is dengie vits and mins, right quantities of everything for the horse, try and hold off the garlic, once a week is ample and supplement your oil with micronised linseed :)

I just feed equivite to both of mine its just a basic vitamin and mineral supplement, one gets alpha a oil with unmolassed sugar beet and micronised linseed, the other has the same but hifi molasses free instead of the alpha, they both look fine on it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Life Force by Alltech. I am convinced that it literally saved the life of my Connemara pony. By the time that I discovered it I had tried everything I could think of, everything feed companies could think of and the vets (HUGE vets bill) didn't have a clue. He was a walking hat rack and was not eating hay anymore. :( I'd put the pics up but I am "tech challenged..." :D ) But happy to email the pics...

I have been so convinced by this supplement that I now have all my horses on it. When I first mentioned it to my OH, he paled, thinking it was going to be hugely expensive (money IS a consideration...). But my feed bills are a fraction of what they were and they all look amazing. I've noticed huge positive behavioural changes, feet grow and look fab, skin, eyes, coat...

I have had many of the professionals that visit my horses regularly comment on their great condition (ok farrier might grunt about 1. how much he is taking off and 2. the quality and hardness of their hooves :D - better that than not :D )

For 6 horses / ponies (for a month) I buy 2 bags of non molassed Alfalfa and 1 nuts (for the spoilt ones who get a nuts ball as an occasional treat :D ) They are on ad-lib hay. Whats not to love about a supplement that takes all the stress out of nutrition and eases the bank balance. :D

Ah great I'll look into that Life Force. Do you mind me asking how much it is?

I am also a huge fan of Lifeforce - everyone I know who's tried it has been completely converted. I have found it's completely chilled my very spooky horse out, and his hooves are in great condition. I feed him the Focus which works out about £20/month - but I don't give him any hard feed at all now, just chaff (and he's a huge 17.2hh so probably more expensive than "normal" horses :wink3: )
