I believe Richard Maxwell has a book on training the young horse. I have his 'From Birth to Backing', as I bought an unhandled rising 2 year old last year, and I have found it very useful. x

Really recommend the pippa funnel book and also the basic training of the young horse by ingrid & reiner klimke. The former book has lots of pictures and a great starting point and the latter imho is the equestrian bible for anyone looking to start a young horse - or even reschool an oldie.
