I'm looking for a good instructor to help me with my four year old. When I was younger I was never really interested in dressgae or flatwork so have never really been taught the 'proper' way of riding a horse on the flat.

Everything I do achieve is self taught so I'm well prepared for a good instructor to come in and rip me apart, lol. But it needs to be done.

So does anyone know any good instructors for showing/dressage in Essex?

What part of Essex?
Will you travel to them or do you need them to travel to you & if so what sort of facilities do you have where horse is based?
Would any other people on your yard want lessons (might keep prices down for all)?
I might know of a few names who can help - PM me if you like.

Again which part of Essex, I have a two very good instructors - one is for my dressage/jumping and the other for my showing but she also helps with my flatwork and jumping.

Both are very experienced with youngsters and have really helped me with Stinky. They also ride him if I ask them to, particularly when we are doing something new that I would like them to do first in order that he is shown properly and also to keep him used to having different people on him.

If you are in the Harlow/Epping/Chelmsford area, I can PM you their numbers.

I'm in the Maldon area. We have a sand school, but I don't think other liveries would want lessons, most of them are SJ mad kids.
I have no transport at the moment so they'd definately need to come to me.

If either of you could PM me numbers that would be fab. It's worth having a chat with them to see if they'd travel to my area and how much for.

What kind of Flatwork instructor- I only ask as mine does classical dressage, but then I also use a BD trained who is more 'conventional'. I also teach but am not qualified but teach mearby in Tiptree (I think thats not far??) the BD trainer charges £40 per hour including drive out. The classical only does 45 min lessons and she charges the same. PM me if you want their munbers.
