Good gentle Backers

I have a 4 year old pony who will be ready to be backed and trained next year or so. She is about 12/ 12.2 hh but slightly built although has some widening out to do still. Does anyone recommend any good nice gentle trainers who break and back horses but specialize in ponies if possible. They would need to be in Scotland as I live in the Highlands.

I believe Morrich Highland Ponies near Tain may be branching out into breaking and training. Try a Google for the web site. It would do no harm to ask.

Not so near as you as in Scottish Borders but highly recommend JD Horsemanship. They have done a wonderful job with my youngster last autumn and a friend's youngster is currently with them and she is absolutely delighted.

Depending on where you are in the Highlands, Dark Deer Croft near Drumnadrochit train horses from the beginning for people and do a really good job of it too.
