Good hacking in N. Wales?

Anyone know where I can have a decent one off hack in Snowdonia or North Wales? I'd like to take my boyfriend, who's ridden quite a lot (all hacking) and is pretty secure in the saddle, but doesn't have a huge amount of control, so while I'd like a canter minimal roads is also a plus.

This has given me some good ideas Didn't realize there was this many people around North Wales on here!

Whilst I live far away from N. Wales, I do know the area very well as I spend a lot of time walking and climbing there. All forestry land in Wales is open to horseriding, and the Gwydyr Forest just to the north of Betws Y Coed is beautiful. There are a lot of mountainbike trails in the forest also, but it's so vast that there is room for everyone.
