I use my masterclip (the blue ones ) If it's clipping season - I also clipped in summer this year I clip 1st & hog last - have been clipping & hogging him for over 3 years now & they have not let me down yet , they are also used for clipping another horse as well x
I have lister liberty. Cordless do they work well gor my needs. I hog and clip my cob with no problems. I bought my own a few months back after borrow ing from a friend. Just about yo do my 2nd clip of the year with them
I hogged with Liveryman Harmony's, have also hogged with the Element trimmers, although they aren't as sturdy.
I have just brought some Liveryman Classics which I believe are taking over from the Elements (?) I have done a full clip with them (very slow but a neat, close finish).
If you are just wanting them to do hogging, I wouldn't spend a huge amount, but if you are looking to do your own clipping etc then any of the Liveryman or Lister 'big' clippers are value for money x
