My mare is the most akward horse to fit a saddle to. No matter what saddle she has on it comes down at the front and up at the back (Wierd shape), but if we go narrower, its too tight and due to a previous shoulder injury she is sensitive to this.
Her new saddle is an Ideal Dressage Saddle (its not a new one, but it fits better than most and doesn't come off her back too much, its literally not even a cm but its definately coming down at the withers) its been decided (by my saddler) to get a front riser pad to even this out. I was browsing on ebay and I saw this.

Has anyone had experience of these pads and will they be more comfortable for her? Unfortunately a prolite pad is just way out of the question budget wise!
Any help appriciated!

I have a front riser for my TBx as she's a funny shape. It stops me being tipped forward but it adds another inch on to teh saddle height which took a bit of getting used to

Before you jump in and buy, check out some of the other threads relating to Saddlery4u!!

Personally I'd rather have a riser pad with larger pads on it. I'd worry that this one could create pressure points under those gel patches.
