Where is a good place to start looking for a young dressage potential? I am thinking about a youngster to bring on for dressage (and maybe some eventing/SJ). I don't have thousands to spend but would like something with good potential to go far. I am willing to travel abroad. Can anyone suggest any good potential breeders etc. It's not something I am looking to do now but am considering the next year or so. Louis is mixed breeding (unknown!), so i wondered if any dressage peeps out there could suggest breeds they prefere for dressage pure breeds or mixed. Thanks

I got mine from what was Caythorpe Equestrian - they've moved now but have a website http://www.oakwoodstud.co.uk/, the girls get youngsters in from Europe and Ireland they're quality and they get them started well, not super cheap but excellent value for what they have. I think the they have contacts in Europe.

Hmmm, the lady who has F on loan is breeding some fab youngsters out of two very well bred German mares using top class german stallions - Sandro Hit and so on. She's based in Somerset. I can PM you her number if you're interested.
