Good riding beaches?

Does anyone know of any beaches that are good to ride on? (ones that you can gallop on, and have water safe enough to splash around in!)

I'm in berkshire at the moment, but can't find anywhere reasonably close (up to an hour and a half away is fine). Does anyone know anywhere?

not sure how far camber sands in east sussex is from you but that is by far one of the best beaches along the south coast

Which part of Berkshire? If you're west then Merthyr Mawr or Kenfig in South Wales would be about 2 hours away. Both lovely but you need a permit for MM, easily available though.

I have friends in Thatcham and can drive there (without the trailer) in an hour and 20 to give you an idea of how long it would take - I only speed moderately

and never through Wiltshire - they're terrible for cameras

A bit further but the Gower is lovely with loads of beaches to choose from if you want to go for a weekend. I know of a good place that does horsey b&b if you want the details.

Norfolk has a lovely beach at Holme Next the Sea,goes for miles. Snettisham,not bad too.

the horses are near reading, hampshire berkshire border. I was looking at Holme Next the Sea, has anyone ever stayed at home farm B & B? I just found their website and it looks perfect
