Hi guys, I have been blessed with short legs that will not accommodate tall slinky boots. I am looking for boots that are either mid calf or not really high, I thought cowboy (cowgirl) boots might be the way but I can't stand all the frills and embellishments they all seem to have. Does anyone have some either plain black cowboy boots or another style suitable for riding they might recommend for one so vertically challenged as myself?

I'm only 5.1. I have got a pair of ariats bromonts in a short leg but they are not ideal. The boots I've found that fit me the nicest are Shires Broadway. They come in three width fittings too. I've bought several pairs of them now. They aren't smart enough for any sort of competing though.

I am 5' 2" and can just about where Ariat boots in short fitting, they do drop a couple of cm when worn in. But same as Gryff I find Shires Broadway ideal length and good to ride in.

Kanyon GorseX, I LOVE mine so much, they are much lower and really , really comfortable, you can get them in kids, regular and wide fitting. You have to get the cleaner/colour cream for waxy leather but they come up super if you look after them, had mine 3 years now, got them from Ebay but might be cheaper elsewhere now

Second these, great mid calf boots ... which are more like full length on those of us not blessed in the leg length department!

My daughter has Mountain Horse ones. Some styles come in different widths as well as short.

Toggi's also good for short legs. I have Toggi quests to ride in and Toggi Rundle country boots. Hoping to get Cartwrights as my 'best' riding boots.

I'm 5'2"

Someone has already posted the link but I have Shires Norfolk boots. Took me months to find a pair as I have size 5 feet and short wide legs so won't even fit into childrens! Mine were cheaper than on the link though, think they cost about £120

Hey guys, I ended up getting the Kanyon Gorse X rider 2 boots, which are great but at 5'2 1/2 (very important that half), they are only just short enough for me, if my shins were 1cm shorter they would be a no go. Look like great quality though and super warm, wore them to town the other day and had a few comments about my cool boots.....so had the fashion police fooled :)
