One of my workmates took up riding with his wife 8 months or so ago. They've been progressing really well and started going over small jumps with their excellent and very enthusiastic instructor. But two lessons ago the regular instructor left and they ended up with someone who failed to speak to them about what they had done and took them back to absolute basics. They were both very disheartened but I thought perhaps the instructor felt she needed to assess them for her own benefit - probably fair enough I guess. However, in the second lesson with the new woman all they did was walk and trot, they both feel they have got nothing from the last two weeks and in addition felt patronised and dismissed by this new instructor - not great when you're a professional couple in your 50's.
So, can anyone recommend a riding school in the Fife area with good facilities and instructors that would suit relatively novice riders but also allow them to progress in a way that challenges them on a weekly basis??
