Hi all

Can anyone recommend a saddle fitter in herts? I use martin wilkinson but they normally can't come out for a few weeks and my youngster can't wait that long, my lovely gp kieffer now too narrow in front

Depends whereabouts in Herts you are - if you're near the Essex border, Malcolm @ West Essex Saddlery is really good, as is Anthony Batchelor. I've used both and and more than happy to recommed either

Sorry was going to also suggest martin wilkinson, as when i used to live in herts he was prob still is the best.
few weeks is maybe too long but better to wait and get a good job than hurry and have someone not as good

Yep use M Wilkinson too and ask for Berry she knows her stuff. When I got my horse I had someone look at him from another company, they said my saddle didn't fit and was prepared to flog me a new one, someone suggested I get M Wilkinsons out, Berry came said the saddle I had was one of the best fitting ones she had seen for ages, was just right for my horse and just needed a little flocking at the front! So that saved me about a grand! Worth waiting for I would say!

Hi sophie
Have only just entered the forum and wonder did you get a saddle fitter? Did you know that Martin Wilkinson has a nifty machine which can alter the width of Keiffer saddles so all may not be lost with your fave saddle?

Toni at the Tack Haven. Never had a problem at all and don't try to flog you a new saddle if yours can be altered to fit, also has a hug range of 2nd hand saddles to go thru/

Would also recommend martin wilkinson.

Re the last three posts above friend of mine had a similar experience with him too...
