Hi,

I am looking for a good showjumping trainer in the Hampshire area and was wondering who people would recommend?
I event up to intermediate level on my ex racehorse who is fab xc but not the best showjumper in the world (and neither am I!) and consistent poles down is starting to get frustrating! He's a fairly sensitive soul so someone sympathetic would be great.
Any help/advice much appreciated!
Thanks!

Andy Austin is hands down the best instructor I have had. His teaching is fairly harsh, but fair, and I have learned a lot from him in just the 4 or so sessions I've had with him, on my youngster.

I think an instructor is quite a personal thing though, and so he might not be right for you. Could be worth trying. He's just a bit south of Newbury, towards Highclere.

Paul Crago is also somewhere down there - I haven't had lessons with him, but apparently he's very good, although probably quite firm too.

Good luck - let us know how you get on.
