Casper will be getting stud holes when the farrier comes out this week.
Ive never used studs before and some people had suggested just buying a set of small studs and a tapper and stud hole cleaner but by the time I buy all that Im almost paying as much as I would for a proper stud kit.
Ive seen the Mark Todd stud kit, Shire, Roma all for under £20 are they good enough starter kits? Are the studs good enough quality and do you get a good selection of studs in these kits? Most of the descriptions dont say exactly what you get just that you get a selection of studs.
I dont foresee me using the bigger studs we only jump up to 80cm anyway and I will only put studs on if we really, really need them i.e. for all the xc/sj comps and lessons Ive had this year hes coped perfectly without studs so dont see me using them that often but want to make sure I get a decent set.
Thanks in advance!
