Good steal toe cap jodhpur boots?

I currently have a pair of lace up short Mountain Horse boots, which have been brilliant, however they are on their last legs and for my next pair of short boots, I would like steal toe caps. I am leaning towards the MH protective boots but as these are quite pricey I wondered what other boots are around that are as comfy? I have narrow ankles so lace ups are better or narrow ankled boots. Equitector do some nice ones, are they good? Again quite expensive but probably worth it!
Thanks!

I had some mountain horse ones... but they have just died as well!

Why do you want steel toe cap? I thought they were a bit dodge for riders in case your toe gets stamped on and the metal cuts into your toes? Or am I making that up???! Seem to remember that was why not to have them...

I asked for recommendations for jodhpurs boots yesterday and everyone suggested the Ariat devon pro...

Not sure if my post is really helpful

I have some old-style MH "stable jod boots" which had the steel toe caps in for half the price of the protective ones. Sadly they make them without now but if you really want some I don't think you can go far wrong with MH. However as widget said they can be dodgy - I had a horse step on my foot and the steel bent, crushing my toes and trapping them inside my boot as my toes weren't strong enough to push the metal up again to free them. I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone had almost had their toes chopped off like this, I can see how it would happen!

Hi there,
I'm also looking for some boots, something to ride and walk in. I have been looking at MH Rough Rider and Ariat terrain. Just had my toe squished so would prob also consider the steal option!!

I was going to buy steel toe capped jodhpur boots but the thought of having my toes chopped off made me thing twice. Instead i bought Harry Hall Horizonte boots and they are fab!! Although they dont have steel toes caps the front of the boot is very sturdy i it didnt hurt when i got trodden on today. They are a good price as well.

Thanks for the replies, my main reason for wanting them is a rather clumsy 2 year old but my current MH boots have pretty sturdy toes so might be ok....
Will have a ponder, thanks!
