Good things about this arctic weather?

hmm, out of lots of bad things, the only good thing I can think of is that

I would've been stuck for an answer a week or two ago but I had an epiphany tonight. My boy is still a bit 'ticklish' having his feet picked out and with the farrier. However, after weeks of having ice balls hammered out of his hooves he is now 100% better with having his feet done. An unexpected bonus.

The weather has forced me to give Red time off, I bought him last April and have really struggled with his weight, but due to not being able to ride he has come on in leaps and bounds and I am quite thankful of the weather for that reason, anyway, November:
