Hi

I am looking for a new hat as the excema on my head is just getting so bad. Have tried so many yet just cant find one which helps! and its definetly my hat as on days I dont ride its always far better. Have tried the ventair with little success, and currently have a dublin onyx. I dont really want a plasticy looking hat, like the ones that look like cycle helmets! So recommendations please

I have terrible trouble with hats coz my head is oval shaped whereas everyone else has got a round head (apparently!!).

I've got a "Tipperary" hat which I got from "Performance Equestrian" (or is it "equestrian performance" - anyway, one of the two). They do a lot of stuff for endurance riders and the hat I've got is the "Tipperary" - its super, BUT does unfortunately look a tad plasticky, plus the fact that if you're out on a high spot and its blowing a hooley, the wind makes a noise as it catches the hat! Not that my boy minds, coz he doesn't, but some horses might tho'. But its a cracking little hat and totally comfy and you're head keeps cool.

I have asked a similar question in Comp riders.
Ultra by Caldene has been suggested.
I am going to look at the Tipperary, as my needs are jumping and endurance at low level, also the weather here is so hot in summer.Hope you find something
