Good vets for a vetting in mid Devon

Good morning,

We’re looking for a friendly but experienced vet to do a 5 stage vetting and x-rays of a young sports horse in the mid Devon area near to Okehampton.

We don’t live in the area so would really appreciate recommendations.

I use Western Counties near Cullompton so would recommend them but they are not that local to Okehampton, it would be worth a call though to see if they cover that area.

There is also Stringer Equine who are based in Okehampton, I’ve never used them personally but they are quite well known I think.

Stringer Equine are excellent. I’ve used them a couple of times now. Either Richard or Jamie.

I second Stringer Equine, Jamie is great, has been seeing my chap for years.

Stringer Equine, been with them since Richard struck out on his own. Very straight. I do always ask for Jamie or Richard, but that’s because I know them , not to the detriment of any other vets there.
