I am taking Tommy to the vets to be sedated

and meeting my dentist there, as he has to have a tooth removed.
I know he will be fine but i am a wreck, never had a horse sedated before i am a virgin to it all

Please send them this way along with some good experiences you guys have had

good vibes coming.i have had my horse sedated a couple of times and although was initially panicked as she was very droopy head nearly on the floor and breathing heavily came round fairly quickly with no ill effect.remind yourself the vet is experienced in working out dosage and body weight.i too have the edt for my 3 tomorrow although nothing drastic ,my woosy warmblood refuses to eat afterwards sending me into a panic.im sure hell be fine though.

my old horse got a tooth removed at the vets a few years ago. She was quite woozy after the sedation and it made her sweat up, so take a cooler rug or similar with you. By the time we got home she was quite perky and was able to munch grass that evening.
