What a nightmare I got to the yard this morning and got Ryu out for his brekkie as per then when he'd finished lead him round to the outdoor school, I noticed he wasn't right nodding a bit and seemed v stiff, checked his legs nothing obvious. Put Bailey in the school for a roll too, and watched Ryu clearly lame, led him back to his stable and seemed allot worse, even stopping!
I can't belive it super gutted he did so well the other week at the RC dressage and has been fab to ride this week I jumped him on Monday and he felt amazing so much more forward, and is enjoying his work so much more. At the same time I'm fuming as the YO harrowed the field last night - with the horses still in it!!!
When me and James arrived all the horses were stood pinned to the fence while the YO sped around the field in his huge tractor with his new pneumatic harrowing thing on the back, I was astounded and expected fireworks when I went to fetch mine in, but Ryu was ok and didn't seem to bothered, but obiously I don't know what had gone on earlier, they could've been galloping around for the duration for all I know and the muddy bit at the front of the field is so rutted and deep, I'm suprised they're not all lame.
I feel guilty as well because yesterday was only the 3rd time they've been out all day and I only kept them out because I had a works meal out and I didn't want to muck out twice, so all this and I'm hungover.
I've arranged for the vet to come this afternoon, as I have meetings till lunch, and Ryus happily munching in his stable, but I just have this horrible feeling, its his shoulder and it'll be weeks of box rest. gutted.
