We need some finger crossing fir tomorrow morning please! The vet is coming out to check my TB x I have on trial. I really want it to go well as I already love him to bits.

We went out hacking today with 3 other horses and while 2 usually calm cobs spooked when a mountain biker came around the corner my lovely Bud didn't bat an eyelid ;)

Even the catching issues are getting better by the day.

Please let there be nothing serious...

Swap chocolate for crossed fingers x)

Good morning everyone,

just an update on our vetting from yesterday.

All went well! Vet said he has a slide "jumpers bump" but no lameness from it at all. We have trotted up and down, in circles AND did flexion test and he passed them all. He has an old injury in his hind foot which he could feel (scar tissues).

Alll in all the vet said he is fit for my purposes (hacking and occasionally hunting).

But now comes the best bit:

The advertised TB x turns out to be a full amercian standardbred
I have spoken to the previous owner before the one who is selling it now and she told me a lot of his past.

He was a harness pacer for a short while then bought from someone from Newport who's done Hunter Trials with him until the lady bought him and hunted with him the last 6 seasons. She is working as a whipper-in and after moving into our area she moved on to a smaller horse after 2 seasons as Bud is too big for her now with all the jumping on and off for gates and so on.

It was good to hear much more history.
