Just a quick update from me!

I fly out later today with the Great Britain Tentpegging Team to India and my big adventure

I will confess packing has not quite made it into bags, and I am waiting with everything crossed that DPD arrived shortly with team bridles and a bag big enough to pack my sword in !! (Err yes I should have checked this before Sunday night)

I am packing my loaned WOW stock saddle, as I decided if you are riding unknown quantities a secure saddle would be a great idea! On the plus side I can also take it apart to squish it into the luggage

The bridles are special ones supplied by polypads with unions jacks and bright red so we should really stand out.. pictures to follow!

I will be updating a blog with daily events, so if you would like real time reports you can follow the tentpegging on: http://jennapegs.blogspot.co.uk/

Also when offered cocktails on the lawn (it was all very colonial and military when I jumped there), you have a choice of whiskey or beer.

Have a great time!

New Delhi so its above the malaria zone! :)

I have deet, ironically human very strong stuff I bought for my horse with sweet itch. I wonder if its ok if a year or so old?

Just remember with strong Deet that it eats plastic, so store it carefully and don't put it on (you or the horse) and then pick up your camera, water bottle etc. before you wash your hands!

The very best of luck :D

I will be thinking of you and have a great time. when you come back i will have to invite myself round for all the goss :D

Diarolyte is like electrolytes, you can get sachets from Boots or any pharmacy and add to water. Drink it if you get Delhi Belly as it replaces lost salts and fluid. Immodium will block you up - it's good but don't take too much as if you have picked up a bug from the food then you can't get rid of it. The food I had at Pune and Bangalore when competing in India was fine though, it's only if you eat out you might get a bad tummy.

You're probably going to be at the Army Polo Club in Delhi, the people there are great. If you meet Major Rohit Dagar, say "hi from Jenny". Lots of the other teams took badges and keyrings as little gifts - anything with a union jack will be appreciated, especially by the grooms of your horses.

Good luck!

*waves from Australia* Hello!

Good luck getting everything packed and through customs! Really looking forward to reading your blog (which look great so far) and all your updates and reports! :D

Best of luck in the competitions and may the best team win! There are some interesting countries participating  :)

FF very kindly gave me the link to this thread (thanks FF). I'm already out here! Is your comp at the Delhi horse show? If it is, i'll be going along for a look see, decided not to compete Casper a) because it will mean transporting him in a cattle truck for upwards of 5 hours and b) we're just not ready. Even the lowest level of dressage requires half pass and pirouettes!!!!

What dates are your comps, i'll try to get there on the same day and give some support from the UK camp.
