I have broken my heart so many times on here reading stories about how one of you has lost your treasured equine friend......and also thanked my lucky starts that my two girls were fine and well.
....but its my turn now.....
I took a call yesterday while out competing from the person who bought my daughters pony a couple of months ago.....to tell me she had just been put down that morning after fracturing her fetlock.
She was 10 years old and the most beautiful 14.3 dun pony named Spice. Full of her own self importance and in charge of everybody....she loved being stroked, rubbed and hugged.
I had the arduous task of telling my daughter who just cried and cried....just as I have done.
I suppose its the price we pay for owning and loving them....but blimey it hurts so much.
Goodbye little friend
