Goodness in grass?

Just wondering how the goodness in the grass varies over the summer. Am I right in thinking it would peak in May/June then decrease gradually over the summer as the weather gets hotter and drier, or does it stay high until autumn?

Gras is at its peak around May & June - a good guage is to note when the farmers cut for hay.

Nutrients drop during the dryer months and then raise a reasonable amount during late summer early autumn - again note when farmers cut another hay crop.

To add to Tnavas. Vets often note raised incidents of laminitis in Septemeber, when the sugars in the grass change again.
