every once in a while, a dog comes along with which we have a special relationship, don't they? It sounds like Legend was one of those. Memories are all that they leave us with, except perhaps, for the odd chew mark, when they were puppies! I still have a flat cap, which was modified by a collie pup, from 20 years ago. He too was such a dog.

Thanks all, your kind words help a lot. It was still awful when I opened the door this morning though, will take a lot of getting used to that he's not here.
