I'm thinking about going to the sales this month but I've only been to the local horse auctions in Exeter.

So what sort of prices do the decent all-rounders (16hh+) go for?

Also, if there is one that I like the look of - how do I arrange transport back to the UK and roughly how much would it be?

Totally depends on who else is bidding!

we went to one of the elite sales and bought our now advanced eventer from there as a 4 year old

Its good fun over there but haven't been for years!

There are plenty of 'transporters' over there who will transport your new purchase for around 200-300 DO YOUR HOMEWORK and google is your friend on some of the 'cowboys' there!

we didn't do that as our friend spent 30k on a fabulous 3 year old and paid peanuts for transport and 3 days later it arrived half dead having not been off the lorry since goresbridge! Spent another 15k on vets bills resulting in a very expensive garden ornament!

We hired a transporter over here before hand and they went to the sales and picked up our purchase and brought him straight back. Best 2k we ever spent-horse arrived fresh as a daisy and perfect

Good luck!

I think the catalogues are ready for the sale now
