and probaly left a few members of the yard rather peeved
Lady at the yard is emigrating and her horse is returning to its breeder so she is selling off a lot of her stuff. Yesterday she stuck a notice up (without prices) a list of stuff with the 'main' item being her rubber stable mats cut to fit the stable and therefore will perfectly fit all but 4 of the stables on the yard out of 30 (2 mine of course!). Anyway it had gone up first thing and I arrived last of evening and housemate said loads of people already saying they wanted etc. I had her mobile number so gave her a ring whilst at yard she said no one else expressed interest yet so as long as no one marked them (which they hadn't) i could have them. Me and housemate decided to have a load of the other stuff (broom, haynets, bins, lunge rope/rein, whip and a few other little bits) and she only wants the price of approx one of the mats new!
So yes we rather pleased as all needed stuff and mats will be ideal for Housemate's cob who a messy s**. Didn't mention to others we got them but i expect several will be seriously annoyed but hey i had the brains to actually ring her
