Dear god it is going to be cold tonight between minus 2 and minus 3 and I have a lesson booked for 8pm in the outside school......I think thermals and lots of layers are in order and a request to work on lots of trot pattens!

You will be fine. Lesson tend to warm you up but spare a thought for the instructor. They will have to stand around in the freezing cold with no chance to warm up

LOL, when I was in the USA at the beginning of the year I was riding in temps of -12 to -15. When it got colder than that we didn't ride as it was impossible to warm the horses up properly. At one point when I was doing yard work it was -25 during the day. I now find winter here much more pleasant!

My Instructor has just called apparently it went to minus 7 last night (eek) will only be 1 degree today and will be down to minus 6 or less again tonight.

The school has taken on the apperance and consistancy of concrete so all lessons are cancelled for tonight. We are re-booked for Thursday.....Joy!

Can someone please explain to me why I decided to move from Cyprus (average winter temperature 14 degrees and oh how we moaned

) to the Netherlands????
