It's an amazing rescue and the women who volunteered to take their own horses across are just bloody brilliant!

We were in Holland for the Friesian Keuring the year after this had happened - they had the women and their horses in the main arena, the whole of the rescue video was played and they had a huge presentation for them. I sat in the audience completely overwhelmed and crying into a tissue along with most of the rest of the huge audience.

It was and yes bravo for horse forums - it's amazing what horsey people can achieve!

Utterly amazing. They must have been so proud. Kind of amazing what a horse will do with a human giving it bravery.

I saw this the other day, no tears just completely in awe. Those women are true hero's of the horse world ☺
