Got bucked off today!

Axel is full of the joys of spring and it all got a bit much for him today, I went for a hack with 2 other people from the yard and while we were trotting up a hill on a nice track in the woods he suddenly threw in these 4 massive bucks. I thought I was going to stay on but the 4th one pretty much finished me off, and we parted company.

I got back on and finished to ride and felt fine, but now I've got a really stiff neck

Off to have a nice hot bath in a minute.


I've now cut his feed right down and started him on a calmer...

Oh no, sounds painful. Hot bath usually makes things a bit better but bet you will be stiff in the morning.

I've decided he needs a bit more work so I'm jumping him in the school tomorrow, we're going to do some grids.

So hope I won't ache too much tomorrow then!

I haven't been working him that hard recently as he has had time off with his back and then his kicked knee, so all in all he's had about 6 weeks off and I'm only just starting to ride him properly again.
I'm going to up his workload a bit I think. Hence the jumping tomorrow, that will tire him out a bit!

I got bucked off lol.
She had done her usual bucking and leaping in the same spot after doing a little jump and coming round the corner to another and I was sitting them fine and not really worrying about it but one of the times I lost my stirrup

and went off sideways. I am so embarrassed because they weren't even big bucks

Makes me feel like such a crap rider, she is such a little monster!!!!

Last time I rode Frankie he decided to throw in a couple of bucks before we even got in the school!

Haven't ridden him for a few days so he'll be lunged first tonight
