Got to the yard this evening and went straight up to the field to bring Libby in. Put her head collar on and led her out of the paddock. We then had to walk through the front field to get back to the stable block. Libby had other ideas
, we started off walking nicely, then libbys walk turn in to a speed march, which then turned into a trot (refusing to slow down), which then turned into a canter off down the field. I let go at this point.
Managed to catch up with her, and reached to take hold of the lead rope and.... she swung her bum round and kicked youchy! I fell on my bum in the muddy and very slushy ground, and she just walked off and carried on grazing blimin' ponies! She has been known to stike out but doesn't usually take off like that. I have a nice bruise on my thigh and bum! She is in season so I am putting it down to chronic moody mare syndrome
