Elf On A Shelf
...
My lovely fell pony, Jasper, has been out on loan for the past year and a half and I am currently on route home with him. The girl who had him can no longer look after him due to personal reasons so he is rejoining my herd.
I haven't seen him in the flesh in just over a year but get regular updates and pics on Facebook. He is currently too fat but he will be living out for the winter so he should strim himself down. She has done a good job in most respects with him BUT he left with perfect manners. In the stable he was itching his head on her, walking to the trailer he was dragging the girl along, he nips and was generally being a thug! So he will need his manners drilled back into him as I most certainly don't allow any horse to use a human as an itching post and as for the dragging people around - eh naw!
In all he actually had a very good home and to be honest, if she got herself completely sorted I wouldn't mind letting her have him back on loan. At least she was honest and didn't just dump him in the field and ignore him while she wasn't able to look after him.
I'm kind of glad I have him back as I was thinking about getting another fell pony earlier in the summer as I really missed him. Good job I didn't!
Bit of a pointless post but it does go to show that loans do go well, not all are baddies.
