Getting very excited now, doing our first BHS Trec on Sunday. No idea what May will make of it, but hopefully we will both enjoy it.

She got called 'Tigger' last night when we were practicing our slow canter!!

Sorry, pointless post ..............

Ohhhh. Have fun!

I did one a while ago and Finni wasn't convinced when I told him it really wasn't a ODE. The log jump confirmed to him that I was lying and well did most of the obstacles sideways!

Much fun though. Good Luck XX

What time are you?....I'm not on till 3.52pm - can't wait that long!!! Diane argued (correctly) that I would still be home before it got dark and the fireworks started but I don't do patience! I believe our class starts at 12.40 so may not see you after all....hope you enjoy it

It's handy pony for grown ups (only much harder and more complicated - have to say that!), ditches to cross, footbridges, canter the slowest, walk the fastest, rein back between poles, trot through poles or anything else that the organiser can create. Each obstacle is marked for accuracy and style and marks awarded for the timed sections too. Quite a good test of whether your horse trusts you to do a variety of odd things on request!

I did the indoor 1 in nottingham last weekend was fun! get loads of points for the slow canter and fast walk, i usually do a bit of showjumping a bit of x country never done anything like that before, cant see myself taking it up but would defiantely have another go at the indoor.
They took some photos at ours the link to mine if you fancy a look are

then click events - then BHS winter trec series - then view images - page 11 the last horse on the page ( the grey) gives you an idea of the obstacles we had.
Have a great time

SilverSyke, those piccies are great!! Like the jump with the teddies underneath! I'm really looking forward to it, as not planning on doing much jumping after a broken leg last year, then broke the other one this year. This is my alternative, and it looks great!

You'll have to let me know how you get on... I don't really understand what you do with Trec to be honest, so I would love to know more about it.

Are you not doing any jumping once your leg heals properly?
