Very pleased, after owning gypsy for 4 years now we've always had trouble with his feather mites and really bad scabs. We've tried almost everything on the market and today we gave them a good wash, let them dry, put frontline spray on the legs and tummy area, then rub pig oil and sulphur in. I can honestly say his legs are the best I've ever seen them and the scabs just fell off! Didn't get kicked to death either for touching them ;)

Happy happy :)

This is very topical as I'm coming to the conclusion that my chap has mites, albeit not the leg variety. Pig oil/sulphur on order. I feel itchy and embarrassed and I don't even have mites! Panicking about what my fellow liveries will say if it's confirmed. Vet due shortly.

Oil every couple of weeks to keep the little beggars away! I bought an oil dispensing brush from eBay a while back, not had a chance to use it yet, mine gets a bit awkward if I fuss too long with backs of knees and scabs.

I tend to squirt on pig oil or Avon Skin So Soft. Pig Oil is also great for manes and tails but watch out for sunburn in warm weather.

2 jabs of dextomax around 10 days apart and a good shampoo! and no need to worm for 3 to 4 months.

mites do come back so on going de miting is required!

Dectamax was the dogs for getting rid if chorioptic mange mites, sadly there is now resistance and it does not eradicate them.

My cob just has the scabs and I cannot get rid of them. Have tried Pig oil and sulphur and it didn't work. Anyone got anymore ideas? x
