Grace came out a bit stressy tonight because she has come in season and wants a man

She felt a bit tense warming up, but was starting to relax a bit by the time of the first test, P10. She went in and did quite a nice test. There were a few tense moments where she wouldn't listen and she figgeted in the halt (this is something we are working on), but came away with a very respectable 64.35% (I think) and was placed 2nd.

I walked her around to cool her off before the second test, P18 and Lisa (L154xxx) gave her some polos because she had been such a good girl... well, the polos definitely did the trick.

The arena for P18 was really spooky, lots of shadows, white banners etc etc and also quite dimly lit. However, she did an absolutely brilliant test and came first with a fantastic mark of 73%!!!!

I am absolutely thrilled with her, what a great few days we have had. Her second and third outings and she has come first at both!

considering how worried you were about doing any sort of competing a few months back .WOW...
hope now you will see what we all have that grace is a star and you have done fantastic with her, also considering you have had troy as a huge and lovely distraction

Thanks so much... and thanks Lisa for the photo! She was being a complete figget bottom and would not stand still. She kept looking like ghost horse didn't she on the photos

BD forms have now been oficially sent off and put in the post box, there's no going back now. I have never got over 70%, so you can imagine how much I was bouncing about the place when I found out. I couldn't sleep last night from being so excited.

P_G... he looks fantastic from the pictures, and don't forget you are affiliated so I can guarantee we will be in the bottom sections when we do some affiliated competitions. But I am honestly not too concerned, as I know she has the potential.

I still cannot believe the judge put, "A pleasure to watch!" at the bottom of P18, I am still gobsmacked!!! Never had such a positive response.

Archie's day will come... and when it does, boy will everyone know about it!

hmmmm just not anytime soon

Thanks everyone, I am absolutely thrilled to bits with her. She is turning into a lovely mare, who's have thought that 6 months ago she had not been ridden for a year since backing. Would have posted a before and after pic, but photobucket having maintenance done

Well done, I don't think I will ever get anywhere near 70%.

Can I just ask, do you have a stock pin to go with your fantasticly tied stick?

Oh excellant, fab results
smile.gif
Now no reason for not going affiliated...just hope I do as well on Sat lol.

Ooh just out of interest, just seen your dressage saddle is for sale? PM me if you like

My fantastically tied stock is fastened with a pin (which may I add I am now getting the hang of
laugh.gif
) but it is just a plain gold one. I have seen a nice blingy one in a magazine, but I need a new jacket first

Thanks so much... my Dad said exactly the same thing when we were walking back to the trailer having received the results
laugh.gif
I am so so pleased he bought her for me

Please don't do bling, it will detract from what a gorgeous girl she is!

She doesn't need bling of any sort!

Congratulations on the results, brilliant. What a long way you've come in those six months!

Te he... I love bling, but not on the horse! The bling would be for me with just a nice stock pin. Mine is boring and yellow goldy which I am not overly keen on. But like I say, jacket is the first wish list item, then some proper leather boots (mine are Mountain Horse and quite old and worn now)

Thanks, I can't quite believe we are at this point so soon. I was estimating some good percentages in the winter, not now at the beginning of summer. And I never would have dreamed she would have got over 70%!!! (just looked at my sheet, and it is 73.75%)
