After making me worried because she was not eating her hard feed (complete with supplements) this morning I turned up to a clean bowl
I did not put any of the Healthy Hoof in last night, just two handfuls of Alfa A (which is in the Healthy Hoof anyway), half a mug of TopSpec which I am introducing gradually and her supplements (Coligone, Cortaflex and MSM).
So, I washed out her bowl and threw away the Healthy Hoof feed I had made for this morning and gave her a few handfuls of Alfa A with the TopSpec. By the time I had given Hannah hers and a net, Grace was whickering at me and pushing her bucket around like she does when she is waiting for her breakfast! I gave her a few more handfuls and she has eaten the lot
She was obviously just playing silly buggers and seeing how wound up she could get me
I have booked for the vet to come out this afternoon to have a quick look at her scar. The vets at the YEC looked at it for me, but I would like my vet to have a look so that if there are any changes in the future they will have seen it as it is now.
I am also going to ask their advice on the discharge notes from Leahurst... it says walk for 15-20 minutes three times a day and graze. But, when I take Grace over to grass she has a few mouthfuls and then wants to carry on walking
Plus, this morning it was frosty so I didn't want her to have much grass (we found a patch where it had been sheltered) but on days like this I need to know whether it is ok to walk her for the 15-20 minutes without grazing.
