Grace's update - 8 weeks after colic surgery! (pics included)

Thank you to everyone who has sent me PMs, texts, and posted on my threads over the past three months since Grace was diagnosed with a suspensory ligament injury and then underwent colic surgery

Last night I got on her for the first time (yes there were tears) as advised by the specialist dealing with her suspensory injury (also checked out scar for me throughly) and tonight I asked my husband to come down and take some photos of me riding my dizzy ginger one

Excuse some of the expressions... She had just had a bucking and squeeling fit which very nearly made us part company

Last night she was as good as gold, tonight she had the bugger in her

How is she looking condition wise etc etc???

I have upped her feed now as she dropped quite a bit of weight when her walking inhand increased, but she has put it back on nicely now I think

Thank you... we had real tears last night, was so glad I was on my own!!!

I have just realised, how short are my stirrups

Someone rode her for me when I had my neck operation which was the last time she was ridden and I must have not dropped them down. I thought I felt a bit 'perched', but by the time I got on and stopped her being a prat, I forgot about it

Fingers crossed that your bad luck is behind you with Grace! The end is in sight now I think.

She was four on Monday, had a cake and everything. I'll download some piccies I took of her and put them on here... she is an absolute sweetheart, but potty as hell!
