Grand national meeting Q?

I may be going to the grand national this year and was just wondering if anyone else has been and was it a good experience. Also I would love to take my niece, she is 9yo, is there an age limit for the grand national day, is it somewhere you would/have take/n your kids for a day out, did they enjoy it. x

I went last year and to be honest I would never go again. Huge crowds, its differcult to see horses in the paddock as there are throngs of people 10 deep. I could hardly see the course let alone the horses. There is no age limit at racecourses but I would think the fun factor for a 9 yr old would be minimal. Much better on the telly.
