Hi all,

Has anyone worked with Grant Bazin in oxford or can recommend someone similar in the Milton Keyenes area who would be good for a horse who has lost his confidence hacking?

We are working with him desensitising etc. He long reins all over its just when ridden, saddle is all good, phyiso up to date ans he is fine in the school ridden with and without saddle and bridle.

Need someone who can work with him intensively as we work full time so its difficult to get continuity throughout the week. Either sending away or coming to our yard.

I know somebody who sent their pony to be broken in by Grant. A lovely traditional pony cob, very green and knew nothing. He came back well broken and they had nothing but praise for Grant. The other person you could try contacting on here is Dusty M Yeti who sent her mare to somebody in the same area. The mare had quite serious issues and the trainer did wonders with her. I’ve just checked and Dusty hasn’t been on here for a while but I can get a message to her to find out the name.

If you could that would be great. Thank you.

Ali Khan may be able to help, he is excellent. I think he is Bedfordshire? He has helped a few of my friends' horses over the years.

Grant's fantastic. He was a Monty Roberts rider and before that was a rodeo rider. His methods with horses are entirely cooperative - no 'breaking' but brilliant handling, starting, desensitising etc. He has students from all over Europe there. He is also doing some taster days this summer.

I have had three horses at Grants over the years - one is a pony of a lifetime, another went to the top of British trec and another was a yearling that benefited from some incredible desensitisation.

I thoroughly recommend him. https://www.grantbazin-thehorseman.co.uk/

Grant helped with my 4yo sec d when he was still based with Ian Vandenberghe at Hartsop Farm, Witney over 20 years ago. He is lovely.

Sadly the sec D proved to be terminally broken, but it was only when his hock was x rayed that the reason for his misbehaviour became evident, he was pts later the same day.
