Does anyone know of any grass livery in the Cambridge/Ely area? I'm moving to Ely soon, but I work in Cambridge so looking for something in either area/on the commute route. I'm looking ideally for live-out livery, though would consider normal DIY (in at night).

Thanks!

Oh brilliant! Yes please if you wouldn't mind that would be a good start.Thinking I might have to do some driving about and just asking around if nothing crops up. Thanks again :)

Hi,
For how many horses or how much grass livery are you looking for? I rent a field just outside Cambridge (may be on the wrong side as it is West Cambridge). It's just under 4 acres split by electric fences. Two horses kept on it at the moment, with field shelter and water- I'm looking into selling the youngster so may be looking at finding someone to share with... Let me know if this sort of thing may interest you?

Hiya,

Thanks for your reply. I just have 1 pony - a 14"2 cob type. Sounds pretty good to me, it just depends on where you are I suppose. Could you let me know the nearest village/place, or even a postcode so I could work out how long it might take me? Also, is there anywhere to do a spot of schooling from time to time - a patch or flat field or anything?

Thanks again,
Holly

Hi Roo! you know me :-)

Sorry for delay, I am on my phone so can't seem to get the links very easily!

If you search in facebook for the following groups:

Horsepoo

All things horsey Suffolk

Fenland horses, ponies and accessories for sale or free

Everything horsey Cambridgeshire

Cambridgeshire horse owners/riding group

All things horsey East Anglia

...that is most of them, there are loads and they're really useful for second hand rugs etc!

I know some places around waterbeach etc, but the hacking round here is pretty crap compared to over on the west side :-)

Thanks for the group suggestions - they look really useful and I'll keep a beady eye on them.
If you do know anywhere in Waterbeach, i'd be interested in sussing them out - used to crappy hacking :)

Cool LisaB I'll send you some details of a small yard I know of, I think you will have a few options between here and Ely.

Roo - things are great thanks I have a lovely haflinger mare now after the thoroughbred I had chucked me off and broke my arm haha, that wasn't fun but at least I have a good one now and my own field near my house too :-)
