Day two on his own in the paddock within the field. I think he prefers it! No competition for his grub. Plenty of horses all around him. Mud mats to stand on and some trees for natural shelter. Ground is still a bit rutted but this drop of rain will help.

Youv'e done well PP.

I'm nearly at the end of my paddock, I reckon two more weeks! Then I will start bringing it back down to reduce the size and then incrementally increasing it again as the weather gets warmer. We've had a good bit of rain this weekend, its what we've needed.

It's taken 6.5 weeks of gradually moving the fencing every day to get where I am now.

I am ultra careful of the grass because our grazing is so good. First photo used. 2nd photo to be used!

I've been giving Lari a small net of hay in his paddock at night which is left over from the hay he has during the day whilst stabled. But I've noticed since about Thursday that he's started to leave it so he's not as hungry due to the grass so going to cut it out next week I think. You will probably notice that with your Highland too!

We think Lari is happier not having to fight for food too!

It’s crucial he doesn’t feel hungry. He gets hangry but worse than that he’ll colic!
