Grass Seed

Hiya all,

I am totally new to all this, but I am wondering if any of you can help me please?

I am doing some research into grass seed sales, and just wondered how many of you actually reseed your paddocks or if you just over seed the bad bits?

We seeded ours originally and then reseeded the following spring - think we used 4 bags last year, will probably need 1 or 2 this but winter paddock is standing up well at the moment

We are planning on over seeding the odd bad bits this year.

I had a big thistle clearing session a couple of years ago and re-seeded the cleared areas. I used SCATS pony paddock mixture. worked well!

Normally only seed the bits that need doing but after the floods last summer the padocks have decided that this year they're going to grow moss rather than grass

so lots of raking and reseeding ahead

I only reseed bad bits. I also save my hay barn sweepings and put them in a sack. Last spring I hade about 6 sacks which was enough to do all my paddocks. This year I may have to buy some as it has been so wet
