Really bad news, know of three folk in the past week who have lost horses to this dreadfull disease which we all thought was over with until next year

I hope there aren't more cases that I haven't heard of but pretty sure there must be, all within 20mile radius of me, we are in Aberdeenshire.

A lady I know lost four on her yard last May. This was in the Coventry/Warwickshire area but was an isolated incident. If you go onto the site www.grasssickness.org (I think) this is the 'master' of all the GS websites and I think they have a map or some other way of detailing where it has broken out and when. I would urge anyone who has lost a horse from GS to help the GS research body by completing the GS survey so that they can correlate as much info as possible in order to combat this horrible illness. I know Scotland is potentially worse than anywhere else for GS but nobody is quite sure why this is. My highest sympathy and respect for anyone who has personally suffered a loss because of GS.
